And no, I'm not really back...I've got my Step 1 coming up (1st part of the U.S. licensing exam for medicine, for those of you who don't know), and I'll probably be back to MIA status once school is done in mid-May.  But I'll be silently stalking you all (because that's reassuring), and I'll try to get back in touch...sometime soon.  I hope. *sighs*

Just watched the movie and, well, I just don't get it.  I love it (especially the parts when Yamapi gives the cops the finger.  The deadpan delivery is priceless.)  But seriously, what the heck is with the plot?  Watanuki?  Mikimoto?  Wtf?  And the interspersed moral crises and confrontations with Katsuragi...gah, it makes no sense!  Every time I think I've figured out what's going on, the whole thing gets turned on its head.

But Yamapi as Kurosagi is still really hot.

...is the frickin' cutest thing I've ever seen.  Koyama wins it for me, but everyone is just GAH.  I want to pinch their cheeks.  And that move Pi does at 0:34 is so perfect and so exactly what I would have done to the music there.  And Ryo holding all the presents at the end. XDDDDDDD

Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted, hasn't it?  *sweatdrops*  Well, if anyone's reading this, I'm trying to be better.  Unfortunately, school's just getting harder.  Who gave me the brilliant  idea to be a doctor, anyway?  I should have been a professional fangirl instead.  (And if those really exist, I might cry at the unfairness of it all.)

After having watched this and having done a little research on the subject - minimal, since I couldn't stomach it for long - I'm slowly becoming convinced that it's kind of a cult.  And honestly, any religion that tells you "Pilot Inspektor" has a deep spiritual meaning has to be screwing with you.  I'm sure God has a sense of humor, but the universe can't be that much of a cosmic joke.

Yay, a fic!  Inspired by Jin's ugggh sweater choice in the Keep the Faith PV.  Written while I should have been doing something else - as usual - and un-beta'ed - also as usual - so dear friends, please tell me if this sucks ass.  Well, maybe not in such harsh terms, but yes.  Anyway...yay, fic!  *is extremely pleased with herself*

Title: 5 Reasons why Jin wore that sweater (only reason 1 at the moment)
Pairing: Akame (only because they take up so much damn time that I didn't get to anyone else!)
Rating: PG-13 for mild swearing and even milder hints of naughty, naughty things.

Overall impressions:

Nice video, even if the slo-mo was overdone.  The fire was silly, but the environment was cool.  Also, this being the first time I've heard the song all the way through, I actually really like it.  =D

Why Ueda wins the video:

His eyes are intense...honestly, he looks the most like he gives a shit.  And he very neatly balances his innate cuteness with that KT edge.  It's beautifully done.  Koki runs a close second only because the One True Gangsta act is starting to annoy me, and there are no cute moments with him that make me go all melty.  He's just hardcore kakkoi, all the time - which, honestly, we all know he's not.  But yes, 10/10 Ueda Tatsuya-san.  Keep up the good work! XD


*Random Note*

Sono egao boku ni misete by NewS is the loveliest new song I've heard.  I wish it were longer, and that the ending harmony were a little better, but damn, Ryo has a good voice when he chooses to use it well.  Also Yamapi and he harmonize very prettily.  It helps that I'm truly a sucker for a capella.  XDD

I was too lazy to make a full costume and too cheap to buy one, so I went to Party City after lab to pick up something quick and easy...and I swear, the place was JE heaven.  Pimp hats.  Feather boas.  I was like a kid in a candy store:  I wanted to buy everything.  For a moment, I understood what Johnny Kitagawa must feel like when he picks costumes (if he does).  My thoughts went something like this:

Oooh boas.  Ooh, that one's shiny.  Hmm, hats?  Yay, hats!  Hey, that one has fur and a CHAIN!  Ooh, that one's PURPLE.  With LEOPARD PRINT.  I wonder if my belt will work with this outfit.  Too bad I don't have leather pants.  Maybe I should get fingerless gloves.  Red hat and red and black boa.  Red hat and white boa?  Purple hat and red and black boa?  Do I need to match?  I wish I had cowboy boots.  Ooooh MASKS.


All I need is a pleather coat with faux-fur trimming and I could absolutely be Jin for Halloween.  I'm totally saving this stuff up for the next anime convention.  NO ONE WILL GET IT.
